Course details:

Evening Course - 5-8pm Every Monday for 10 weeks - £300.00

We offer starter courses in wall and floor tiling on Monday evenings from 5pm till 8pm.  The course covers background preparation, cutting and shaping tiles using hand tools, dry cutting and wet saw cutting, Setting out and measuring up for estimating, typical tiling tools, fixing plastic and metal trims, types and uses of adhesives and grouts.  The course will give a solid foundation for anyone interested in a new career in tiling or for those wanting to take on their own tiling projects.

1 day taster course in Tiling and Plastering

Visit the training centre to be assessed and view our facilities and get to know the trainers and staff here to help you to take the first step onto a new career as a professional tile fixer or plaster.  You can have "hands on" trial runs at tiling and plastering.

1 week Introduction Course - £150.00

Hands on the trainee will learn about tools, estimating, materials and safety of how to tile a kitchen bay in our purpose built training centre.

2 week Beginner Course - £300.00

The two week course allows the trainee to experience tiling and preparing a bathroom for tiling.  Emphasis will be placed here on how to achieve a professional finish and additional focus on estimating and responsibilities is added in lectures.

4 week Intermediate Course - £600.00

The trainee will prepare walls and floor to receive tiling and skim finish before tiling walls and floors.  Assessment will take place against acceptable British Standards and reviewed against company policies for Key Performance indicators. 

8 week Advanced Course - £1200.00

The 8 week course will allow trainees to become fully immersed in the real world of a commercial tiling company.  With visits to sites the trainee will be given the opportunity to experience a professional tiling company in operation.  From domestic customer's work through to large scale commercial developments.
